2. Napier Museum – It is an art and natural history museum that is situated in Thiruvananthapuram. The elegant wooden structure of this museum was made in 1880 by the British architect, Robert Chisholm. The interior of this building displays a striking architectural design, and is truly a sight to behold.  There are host of temple carts, Buddhist sculptures and ivory carvings kept on display in this museum.


3. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary- One of South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary, the Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area, situated near Thekkady .This large sanctuary is home to bisons, wild boars, about a 1000 elephants and over 30 tigers. There are about 35 recorded species of mammals here, including various threatened species.



4. Eravikulam National Park- This Park is situated along the Western Ghats in the Idukki district. There have been twenty-six different species of mammals recorded in this park, which includes the largest surviving population of Nilgiri tahr. The part consists of a gorgeous high rolling hill plateau, with multiple perennial streams crisscrossing it. The highest peak of the Himalayas in South India is also within the precincts of this park. 



5. St. Francis Church - Built originally in 1503, this is the oldest European Church in India. When the great Portuguese Explorer, Vasco da Gama died in 1524, on his third visit to India, his body was originally buried in this Church. His body was moved to Lisbon after 14 years.
